Chefs- We offer an assessment in marine cookery for ships cook recognition for Cayman flag vessels and also for Marshall Islands flag veseels. 

Regarding the Ships Cook Assessment and Certificate. Please see below all the information you need to take your inquiry forward.      

Please read all the information carefully, 

The Ships Cook Assessment course is run in accordance with the requirements of MLC to confirm whether the candidates have the necessary skills and knowledge to then apply to ‘Flag’ for the ‘Ships Cook Recognition Certificate’

On completion of the Ships Cook Assessment course, we, with the candidates will complete all registration forms to ensure that all information is correct before submitting the application to CISR and verify all requirements are met (including STCW, sea time, Medical, Food Safety Level 3, etc).

PRICING

The complete course costs €1,550 (which includes the level 3 Food Safety) runs for two days from 08.30-5.30. 

If you already hold a Level 3 Food Safety (not older than 3 years) then the Ships Cook Assessment course is €1,250

All training takes place at the ITA/Oceanwave Training office in the heart of Antibes, 20 Rue des Casemates,06600, Antibes. 

The Food & Hygiene L3 is taken as a stand-alone course. Once payment has been made, candidates are sent their joining instructions, along with an email link, giving access to their online profile which is to be studied at home. Following completion of an online assessment candidates attend the ITA/Oceanwave Training centre where a final assessment and exam takes place between 8.30 and 11.00. It is very important that candidates understand that the online syllabus must be completed otherwise they will not be able to sit the exam on the first day of the assessment course. 

Once we have received payment in full, the course outline, menus and any course preparation will be emailed out to you for completion before the course begins, along with your joining instructions.

To enable us to register you for the course, please send a copy of:

-Your CV, 

-Passport, 

-Seaman’s Discharge book/proof of sea time, (You need a minimum of 30 days onboard a vessel)

-Up to date STCW, 

-Up to date ENG 1,

-Catering certificates/qualifications. 

You will still need to bring your original certificates/documents to the course for visual confirmation
